While the Crucifixion of Christ allowed for forgiveness of our sins, the Resurrection serves as our entrance into Heaven. We all have a choice to make in this life. While we are here, will we follow Jesus Christ to wherever He may lead us? Or, will we try to do things the world’s way, chasing after meaningless, temporary and empty satisfaction for only a few, short years? The Resurrection calls us to have an Eternal perspective.
We are Conquerors
Once we figure out what the Resurrection means for us day in and day out, it is time to put it into practice. However, this is easier in some seasons than others. How do we sustain a thriving relationship with Jesus in the toughest seasons of life? The answer is found in what the Bible says we are: “More than conquerors”. We have the ability, through the Holy Spirit’s power, to overcome what comes our way and live abundantly in Christ!
We are Transformed
The practical nature of the Resurrection does not just mean we gain entrance into heaven. It is also meant to affect our right now! Truly, God wants the message of Christ to transform our hearts and minds each day, that we might direct others into a saving relationship with Christ as well. This means that everything in our life before Christ is meant to shift in some kind of way, as He makes us new through the process of sanctification.
We Have Hope
One of the most beautiful things the message of Christ gives those who accept it is hope. We often talk about this concept around Christmas, but the resurrection of Christ at Easter reminds us that we serve a risen Savior. Because Jesus is alive, we can place our hope in His plans and purposes for our life. We must allow Him to lead and guide us into righteous living.
We Have Access.
